Together (but apart) We Run 5K
Dust off your running shoes and join our community as we “go the distance” with our Together (but apart) We Run 5K that you can complete at your own pace. All you must do is walk, jog, or run the 3.1 miles between the dates of June 26th-28th, track your progress, and submit a picture of your progress to KPort Rec by June 29th. Its only $20 to register and receive a commemorative t-shirt. Adult and youth sizes are available.  Local adventure company, New England Eco Adventures, check them out here https://newenglandecoadventures.com/  is generously providing a $20 gift card to all who register that can be used later this summer! NEEA launches right outside of Federal Jacks and is locally owned and operated. They just upgraded to a 24 passenger Ribcraft custom build Rib boat (this means plenty of space to stay physically distant). Last summer they were voted Southern Maine’s number one adventure company and will be following CDC guidelines to keep you safe and healthy.
 
If you spice it up a bit and run some of your miles in a fun outfit or costume send us a picture to receive 10% off your next registration with KPort Rec on programs costing up to $50!
 
TO JOIN IN THE CHALLENGE:




  1. Register for the Together (but apart) We Run 5K online at kennebunkportrec.com or by calling 967-4304. Deadline to register to receive a t-shirt is June 11th. Registration will remain open until June 26th.


  2. Pick up your t-shirt at the Rec building on Thursday, June 26th.


  3. Complete the equivalent of a 5K (3.1 miles) by running, jogging, or walking between the dates of June 26th-June 28th.


  4. Email your finished results (can be a screenshot of your tracked miles on an app) to cavigail@kennebunkportme.gov or text them to 207-604-0178 with your name attached.


  5. Receive your $20 gift card from New England Eco Adventures via email.


  6. Celebrate your accomplishment!
