Summer Dog Training Series: "Come When Called"

Your dog has spotted a squirrel and is running after it in the direction of the road as a truck is barreling toward him. You yell, “Come!” as loudly as you can. What happens? Does your dog pivot and run back to you, avoiding a potentially life-ending injury? Or, does he make the ultimate mistake and step into the road?

The “come” command, also called the recall, is a critical, lifesaving skill. Does your dog come every time, the first time you call him? This class will teach basic and challenging applications that will focus on building a reliable behavior. 

When: Thursday, August 1st 5:30-7pm
Where: Rec Building
Cost:  $40

This class includes your furry friend. All dogs should be properly vaccinated,  on leash(4-6 ft,  no retractable leash), flat buckle style collar, outr martingale/ limited slip style collar. 
*Please bring a baggie of irresistible treats,  plus your dog's dinner! If your dog is 'toy' crazy, those can be used at home to enhance training. 
 
Classes are 90 minutes long,  with the first 30 minutes being classroom style,  then we'll begin actually working with your Favorite Fur Friend! 
*Some dogs that are intensely reactive may not be appropriate for group classes until the reactivity has been addressed and resolved. 
**Please be considerate of others and arrive early enough to allow us to begin on time.
