Join Kennebunkport Parks and Rec on June 14th, 2019 for a trip to Peaks Island! Here is our itinerary:

8:45am Meet at the new Rec building
10:15am Take a Casco Bay Lines ferry to Peaks Island
10:45-12:45 Lunch and time to explore the island. Most sights are within a short walk from the ferry and restaurants. Click this link for a list of things to do: https://www.cascobaylines.com/islands/peaks-island-maine/. This list and a map will be handed out on the ferry as well. 
Lunch will be at your own expense or you can bring your own lunch. There are three lunch options on the island.
1. The Cockeyed Gull has casual dining and a deck that overlooks Casco Bay and Portland.
2. The Inn at Peaks Island has a menu that features fresh Maine seafood, crisp salads, and creative pub fare with a flair.
3. The Peaks Island House on Casco Bay where you can enjoy a beautiful lunch on their deck or gazebo.
1:00pm Take a tour of the island with Peaks Island Tours on an electric golf cart! On this tour you will learn the history of the island, hear stories of life on the island, and see some of the most scenic views and homes Peaks Island has to offer. Check them out here:

2:15pm Private tour of the Fifth Maine Regiment Museum-a 19th century Memorial Hall with Civil War era artifacts & photos, plus a veranda with ocean views. 
3:45pm Take ferry back to Portland
4:45pm Arrive back at the Rec building 

Cost: $30 (cost covers transportation, ferry ticket, and group pricing for the golf cart tour, and museum ticket)
