Owl Moon Snowshoe

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Do you remember reading the story Owl Moon when you were a kid and wishing you could go Owling like the boy in the story? Now is your chance! Experience the wonder for yourself on the night of February 16th as we read the story of Owl Moon while sipping on hot chocolate. You wont have to wait long to see an owl for yourself because we will have an Educator from the Center for Wildlife join us with several live Owl ambassadors. We will learn more about the specific species of owl, their Natural History, Habitat, Diet, Call, and more!
After we have said goodbye to our new Owl friends, we will strap on our snowshoes and Environmental Educator, Katie Brodeur, will take us on our own Owling Excursion into the woods of the Emmons Preserve. We will learn and practice the call of the Great Horned Owl and see if we can hear one call back to us!
